Put your trust in the Marquette County Health Department's Maternal Infant Health Program (MIHP).  For over 20 years the Health Department has been providing Public Health Nursing visits to moms and babies.  This program allows our staff to continue to visit the family with the focus on the infant through the first year of life.

MIHP provides these services to pregnant women with special needs who are on Medicaid.  Home visits for support, teaching and referral are available to help insure healthy mothers and babies.

Features

The focus of these programs is the prevention and control of maternal and infant health, and psycho-social  problems through education, and through referral to appropriate support agencies.  The Maternal Infant Health Program is certified through the Michigan Department of Community Health.

For more information on this program, please contact us at the location below or the local health department for your particular area if not a resident of Marquette County.
