Recommended Immunization Schedule |
|
Immunizations help protect your child's health. Children who are not immunized are at risk for diseases which can sometimes be fatal. Michigan law also requires that children entering school be completely immunized. However, it is important that children be immunized long before they start school, while they are still infants. It is also important that children are immunized on time (see schedule below) and completely to be fully protected from disease.
Childhood immunizations and adult boosters are available to all Marquette County residents. For those who qualify for the Vaccine for Children Program, there is only a small administration fee. Miscellaneous vaccines are also available at a low cost for rabies, ISG, Hepatitis B and flu. Immunizations are offered 4 days per week by appointment. Immunizations may be coordinated with WIC and Family Planning appointments. Selected clinics are also offered at schools and various community sites to increase immunization levels.
