The Community Health Division maintains a leadership role with The Marquette County Substance Abuse and Violence Prevention Coalition. Coalition meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month from 11:30 AM. until 1 PM. in room 274 of the Geraldine DeFant Building. Area prevention agencies and concerned citizens work to implement county-wide strategies to prevent substance abuse. The coalition maintains a library of substance brochures, posters and books on various prevention topics. |
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Marquette County Substance Abuse and Violence Prevention Coalition is to facilitate community participation in the prevention of alcohol, tobacco, other drug use and violence among our young people and community.
