Food Service Facility Licenses and Inspections |
In accordance with Michigan's food service code, a license is required to operate a food service establishment, transitory food unit, temporary food service establishment or vending machine location. There are some cases where a license may not be necessary, so it is important to contact the Environmental Health (EH) Division for assistance. Applications and fees are submitted to the EH Division. A new construction or extensively remodeled facility will require a plan review by the EH Division before beginning construction.
