It is important to contact the Environmental Health (EH) Division if you have contracted a foodborne illness. Call (906) 475-4195. You will be interviewed and a food history will be taken. If necessary, samples may be collected of left-over food, or from stool, blood or vomit. The EH Division works cooperatively with the other divisions within the health department and the Michigan Department of Agriculture to define causative agents and/or practices responsible for foodborne illnesses.
